Marco di Vaio is in line to sign a new contract with Bologna.

The experienced striker is expected to put pen to paper in the coming days after helping Bologna to victory at Lecce yesterday.

"There is an agreement with the club to hear from each other next week and to put black on white to an agreement that is already ready," said Di Vaio's agent, Federico Pastorello.

"Marco wants to stay at Bologna, but for now the technical aspect is all that interests us. The renewal of his contract regards only the commitment of the player. We haven't spoken about eventual developments as a director.

"Perhaps in two years' time we'll still be talking about Di Vaio being in great form and wanting to keep playing, so we don't want to rule out anything."
