Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo felt they didn't deserve their 2-1 defeat at Manchester City.
Di Matteo felt the defeat was harsh on his side.
City's equaliser came from a Sergio Aguero penalty in the 78th minute after Michael Essien had been penalised for handball.
"I think it (the penalty) gave them a big lift," said Di Matteo. "We had defended very well at that point. That gave them that little bit of hope they needed. It was a bit harsh, but it was a handball for sure."
The visitors lost Branislav Ivanovic to injury in the first half.
"He's complained about a tight muscle and we'll have to see how that is," added Di Matteo."It think it is (tough). We fought very hard and I think we deserved a point," he said on Sky Sports 1.
