Angel di Maria was pleased to prove the Juventus matchwinner against Freiburg.

Juve are in control of their Europa League round of 16 tie thanks to Di Maria's first-leg winner.

“I had a bit of pain, it's normal fatigue after so many games, but I think the important thing tonight was to work hard and win the game," Di Maria told Sky Italia.

“I am happy to have helped the team with a goal and hope to continue doing that for the rest of the season. We'll do our best to win the Europa League, that is one of our objectives along with the Coppa Italia, and we'll try to win them both."

Di Maria was also asked about remaining in Turin next season.

“We are talking, I don't know. I am very happy here, I can really feel the affection of the fans now, which was a little more difficult for me at the start."
