Mattia Destro is delighted with his move to AS Roma.
The former Siena and Genoa striker was in a tug-of-war when Juventus made a higher wage offer, though eventually the Giallorossi won out in a deal worth 19m.
"I am here because I was convinced by the project at Roma and the desire the club had to sign me," he said in a Press conference.
"Roma is a great club and there are many champions in the squad. I wanted to make what would be the best choice for me.
"Interest from Juve and other sides? I don't want to talk about them now. I am at Roma and I'm happy to be here, the rest doesn't matter. It was a long negotiation process and I have to thank Genoa President Enrico Preziosi for keeping his word."
