Derby veteran Rooney promises not repeat of Man Utd badge-kissing celebration

Derby veteran Wayne Rooney says he won't be celebrate excessively if he scores against Manchester United.

It will be the third time Rooney has faced United since leaving the club in 2017.

Rooney kissed the United badge when he returned to Everton as a youngster, but that won't be happening at Pride Park on Thursday.

"No, it won't be like that, of course," Rooney said of a repeat of those badge-kissing celebrations.

"I think everyone will understand. I want Derby to win in this game and after the game I'll go back to being a Manchester United fan and wanting them to win in the games after our one."
