Liam Bridcutt could be on the verge of a move away from Sunderland.

Bridcutt has struggled since joining the Black Cats from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2014 and consequently is being linked with a summer exit.

Sunderland are said to be keen on offloading Bridcutt and Championship side Derby County have registered their interest in signing the midfielder.

Now in a further development to the story, Derby have placed an offer of around £2million for Bridcutt and Sunderland are ready to sanction the sale of the 26-year old.
