Derby signing Savage: I don't care what Mills thinks

Robbie Savage admits he'll be seeking out new Derby teammate Danny Mills to mend bridges after a long-running feud.

In March 2004, Mills and Savage were cautioned after the former attempted to throttle Savage, who was playing for Birmingham City at the time, after the defender, who was playing for Middlesbrough, was subjected to a "career-threatening" tackle.

Savage laughed yesterday when he recalled "rattling" the former England defender.

"Characters are needed here," he said. "I don't really know him as a person, but I'm sure I'll find out. I think it's a good move for him. I'm sure he'll like me - and if he doesn't, I'm not bothered."
