Huddersfield Town have had a £7.2m bid for Tom Ince rejected by Derby County, according to Sky Sports.
The former Liverpool and Hull City winger scored 14 goals and provided 8 assists in the Championship last season.
Despite having their bid rejected, it is understood that the Terriers will return with an improved offer for the 24-year old.
Huddersfield, who next season will play in England's top-flight for the first time in over 40 years, have reportedly agreed a £10m club-record fee for Manchester City midfielder Aaron Mooy.
The Australian impressed on loan at the Yorkshire club last season and was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
