Derby make move for Central Coast's Ryan

Central Coast Mariners goalkeeper Mat Ryan could soon be on his way to Derby County according to reports.

The 20-year old, who has had trials with Premier League clubs Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion, could find himself in the Championship with the Rams who are showing considerable interest.

Mariners chairman Peter Turnbull revealed that offers for both Ryan and Tomas Rogic (from Reading) have been accepted by the A-League club with January moves on the cards.

"Yes, both clubs are interested, and it once again shows what the Mariners are about and the development we do," he said.

"It proves why we're youth league champions and A-League premiers, and why we're the club of choice for the best young talent."

Two-time A-League Young Player of the Year and reigning A-League Goalkeeper of the Year Ryan was recently linked with Hull City but it appears he will be on his way to Pride Park this month.
