Derby County have confirmed the sacking of manager Steve McClaren.
The Championship club have decided to part ways with McClaren following their end-of-season review on Monday.
The Rams finished eighth in England's second tier after spending a lot of the season in the top six, missing their chance to compete in the Premier League play-offs.
"Derby County have terminated the contract of Head Coach Steve McClaren with immediate effect," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The Board believes that the appointment of a new Head Coach is required to continue the club's on-field progress and the search is now underway to appoint a successor."
