Derby County hope to wrap up a deal for Rangers goalkeeper Roy Carroll today.

Carroll is ready to complete his protracted move to Derby from Rangers after the Ibrox club last night signed Ipswich keeper Neil Alexander in a £500,000 deal. Rangers were reluctant to let Carroll leave until they had signed a replacement.
