Patrick Bamford received plenty of superlatives after scoring for Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.
The 21-year old striker netted the only goal as Boro defeated Derby County 1-0 at iPro Stadium to move to second place on the Championship table.
Bamford, who is on loan from Chelsea, struck in the 64th minute to notch his 14th goal of the campaign and Rams boss Steve McClaren felt the talented youngster was the difference against the club he spent time with last season.
"It was always going to be close, tight and a goal from Patrick Bamford is the difference in the teams," said McClaren.
"There was always going to be one moment. We didn't take ours and they took theirs.
"We are struggling a bit in terms of a cutting edge. The difference tonight was Patrick Bamford."
The defeat saw McClaren's Derby drop to fifth in England's second tier as Boro joined Watford on 72 points at the summit of the table.
