Derby County's current struggle for survival in the Premier League is not Billy Davies' toughest spell in management.
He points to testing times during his stints in charge at Motherwell and Preston North End. He told the Derby Evening Telegraph, "I've had tougher times, there were even spells last season which were tougher than this."
He added: "I am delighted to be a Premier League manager and competing in the Premier League. I am gaining lots of experience and it is fantastic experience because it will make me a better manager.
"You can't buy this experience."
