Deportivo La Coruna legend and current junior coach Juan Carlos Valeron has spoken of the potential of Barcelona whiz Pedri.
Pedri spent last season on-loan with Las Palmas in the Segunda Division.
“Pedro has stood out in the LaLiga SmartBank at the age of 17. It doesn't take much to talk about what he is and what he can achieve in the future. He is a boy with a very focused head, who knows where he has been and who will surely grow at Barça," said Valeron.
“He has a certain resemblance to Andrés (Iniesta), they have some similarities : his oriented control, his ability to dribble with a single control ... He doesn't usually look the other way around to overlap, he moves out into the space, associates, goes forward, attends... ".
When asked for a comparison between Valerón himself and Pedri, the former player explained that “I was a more specific midfielder. Pedri is more complete than me, he can play inside and out, he is more forward looking and has more goals."
