Departing Arsenal defender William Gallas wants a move to Italy.
The Daily Star Sunday says Gallas has rejected an offer to join old team-mate Gilberto at Greek club Panathinaikos.
The France international, 32, was reportedly offered a two-year deal worth £80,000 a week but is believed to be holding out for a bid from Italian clubs Juventus and Roma after the World Cup finals.
French international Gallas wanted a two-year deal with Arsenal but that was rejected because it goes against club policy as they do not offer more than 12-month contracts to players over 30.
