Dembele: I want to become Celtic's new Larsson under Rodgers

Celtic new boy Moussa Dembele aims to emulate club legend Henrik Larsson under the guidance of manager Brendan Rodgers.

The 19-year-old joined the Hoops from Championship club Fulham following the expiration of his contract with the Londoners.

However, Celtic will have to pay a combined development fee of around £500,000 to the player's former clubs Fulham and PSG.

Upon his arrival in Glasgow, Dembele is hoping he can become one of the world's deadliest strikers under the guidance of Rodgers, much in the mould of Bhoys hero Larsson.

Dembele said: "I want to become one of the best strikers, or the best striker, in the world.

"That is possible and working with someone like Brendan Rodgers will help me a lot. The key is to work hard.

"I model myself on Ronaldo, the Brazilian one. As a striker he had everything. He could score goals, he could dribble, he could pass.

"Celtic is a massive club and I see my future here. Hopefully I can score as many goals as I can for the club, and become like Henrik Larsson."
