Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba admits he's surprised to see Frank Lampard now Blues manager.
Ba, now with Istanbul BB, always believed it would be John Terry, currently Aston Villa assistant coach, who'd take charge at Chelsea.
"Back then, I saw John more than Frank as Chelsea manager, but when I saw the work he was doing at Derby, I was impressed," said Ba.
"I've talked to Gael Clichy (also with Istanbul BB), who played with him at Manchester City, and he said that when he came to the club he could immediately see that Frank would become a great manager.
"I can see him helping the youngsters and giving them a lot of confidence, and I'm not surprised at what the youngsters are doing right now for Chelsea, because Frank is really good at this."
