Delta Air Lines has signed up as a sponsor of this year's Concacaf Gold Cup, the premier national team soccer tournament of the North, Central America and Caribbean region, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The American carrier becomes the official airline of the tournament throughout the Concacaf region, including the US, Canada and Mexico, as well as the rest of Latin America.
The deal, Delta's first ever Gold Cup partnership, was brokered by Traffic Sports, Concacaf's commercial partner.
"We are pleased to welcome Delta as the official airline partner of this year's Gold Cup," said Concacaf president Jeffrey Webb.
"Delta's vast presence throughout the Concacaf region makes this a natural alliance between both institutions. At Concacaf, we look forward to ensuring a long-term partnership of collaboration."
This year's 12-team Gold Cup runs from 7th to 26th July in 13 cities across the USA and Canada.
