Aston Villa academy chief Bryan Jones has revealed the influence of starlet Nathan Delfouneso in convincing Harry Forrester to sign with the club.

"Harry came to our attention via agents," he said. "I don't think they could come to an agreement on his contract at Watford.

"Because of the history of this football club over the last 10 years and because the managers are prepared to blood youngsters he felt comfortable here.

"He knew Nathan Delfouneso anyway because they play in the same England side and Nathan probably deserves a bonus for helping us sign Harry."
