Alessandro Del Piero has been selected for the inaugural A-League All-Stars side that will take on Manchester United next month.
The Juventus icon enjoyed a stellar debut season with Sydney FC for which he has been rewarded with selection in the best A-League side of 2012/13 as voted for by an expert panel as well has head coach Ange Postecoglou.
The starting eleven also includes Melbourne Victory star Archie Thompson whilst Western Sydney Wanderers ace Shinji Ono was named on the bench.
The weighted voting system gave 50% to the fan vote, 20% to the Expert Panel vote, 20% to the players via the PFA Team of the Year selection and 10% to Postecoglou.
More than 30,000 fans voted by submitting their starting 11, plus four substitutes.
The Expert Panel included Han Berger, Craig Moore, Tony Vidmar, Mark Bosnich, Stan Lazaridis, Andy Harper, Tom Smithies and Michael Lynch, who all named their starting 11, plus four substitutes.
The Foxtel A-League All Stars will play Manchester United at ANZ Stadium, Sydney, on Saturday 20 July.
