Juventus great Alessandro del Piero has paid tribute to Giampiero Boniperti after his passing on Friday.
The former Juve striker and president passed away at the age of 92.
In 2006, Del Piero beat his record for goals at the club. The former Italian striker had joined the Bianconeri when Boniperti was the club's managing director in 1993.
Del Piero posted to social media: “Dear President, nobody has represented Juventus as you did. And nobody will.
“I owe you everything, or almost, as a footballer and as a man. Because without Juventus, without your Juventus, I wouldn't be the main I am.
“I'll be grateful to you forever and I hope I've been able to reward you on and off the pitch, just like you wanted."
“Thank you, President."
