Belgian hero Marc Degryse has rejected claims from Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola after their Champions League win at Club Brugge.

Guardiola stated that he had called former City captain Vincent Kompany in advance and received useful tips from the Anderlecht coach.

But Degryse doesn't believe that: "Bull****. This is more stage than during the match on the sidelines.

"Guardiola will sometimes have called Kompany for 10 minutes and asked something. But you are not going to tell me that he did not know all that after analysing Club's matches himself.

"He just wanted to please Kompany."
