Debuchy intent on achieving success with Arsenal upon return

Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy is happy to be back in action and is eager to finish the season successfully with the Gunners.

The French defender has had a frustrating first year at the Emirates Stadium due to injuries. He missed the first half of the season with an ankle problem and then in January a push from Stoke City's Marko Arnautovic left him with a shoulder injury from which he returned in the FA Cup semi-final win over Reading.

"I am so happy," he said. "It is so important to be back on the pitch with the team. It was hard for me after the second surgery this year but now it is behind me and I am so happy to play for Arsenal.

"It is too difficult for me, two lots of surgery in the same season. It was hard during the second three months and three months before.

"And I am also strong in my head and happy to be back. Now I am okay. I want to play - a lot - to help the team. I am focused until the end of the season."
