Daniele De Rossi is in talks about a return to AS Roma.

De Rossi left Roma last year for a season with Boca Juniors and has since hung up his boots.

He will meet with Roma CEO Guido Fienga to discuss potential roles in the new club following James Pallotta's exit and the takeover by The Friedkin Group, says Calciomercato.com.

De Rossi's father, Alberto, has been the Roma Primavera youth team coach since 2014 and working within the academy since 1997.

He could join coach Paulo Fonseca's staff, or work with his father in the youth academy that he came up through as a kid.
