Nigel de Jong won't be rushed into new contract talks with AC Milan.
The Holland midfielder's current deal expires in June.
"I haven't decided yet and I don't know when I will make that decision," De Jong told nu.nl.
"It could be at the end of April or at the end of the season. First of all I want to figure out what Milan's plans are to get back to being the great club of the past.
"I never read Italian papers or watch their television, as everyone can write and say what they like. I am concentrated on the field and doing my best for the rest of the season.
"It's still too early to say where I'll be playing next term. It could be Milan, Ajax or another club. There are several options, as I will be a free agent.
"I'll take a little time so that I can make the best decision."
