Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren has revealed some of his selections for Tuesday night's clash with Northampton Town.
The Magpies host the League Two club in the second round of the Capital One Cup and will field a fairly competitive starting eleven which will include Dutch attacking midfielder Siem De Jong who has made just one substitute appearance so far this season.
"Siem will play," McClaren told the Chronicle.
"It will be a strong team."
However, French midfielder Moussa Sissoko will miss as he strives to return for the weekend's meeting with Arsenal from the groin problem that kept him out of Saturday's 0-0 draw at Manchester United .
"Moussa is progressing well and may be OK for the weekend," the boss added.
"But we are taking that day by day."
