Nigel de Jong says it's time Manchester City teammate Mario Balotelli bucked up his ideas.
He tried an outrageous piece of showboating while clean through on goal and was immediately hooked by boss Roberto Mancini.
De Jong said: "It is frustrating and he has to iron out issues otherwise it will be a waste of his talent.
"I've played with some strange characters in the past so I have seen a couple of strange things but it's the first time I have seen that.
"His team-mates are here to help him but at the end of the day he's his own person and he is the only one who can change his ways.
"He is coming across strongly in training and progressing every day, but he has to remove these kind of moments from his game.
"But that's for him to learn from and realise that something like this will not be accepted, either by the team or the staff."
