Manchester United shot-stopper David de Gea has lauded Phil Jones for his commitment to the club.

Jones, who had not featured for United since January 2020, put in a Man of the Match display in a 0-1 home loss to Wolves on Monday.

The centre-half was featuring after an injury to captain Harry Maguire, while Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly are absent due to COVID-19 and African Cup of Nations duty respectively.

United may have been disappointed at their result against Wolves, but fans were quick to acknowledge Jones' efforts on his return.

Veteran keeper De Gea tweeted post-game: "Commitment. Proud to see you back on the pitch" regarding Jones.
