Former QPR boss Gigi de Canio has been named new coach of Lecce.
De Canio succeeds Mario Beretta at Lecce after he was sacked following their 0-0 draw with Reggina on Sunday.
De Canio has been unemployed since he left QPR by mutual consent in May 2008.
De Canio has previously led Genoa, Napoli, Reggina and Udinese and led Siena to survival in 2005-06.
