VfL Wolfsburg winger Kevin de Bruyne has jumped to the defence of Andre Schurrle.

The former Chelsea attacker has struggled to find his best form since his big money January arrival.

De Bruyne also left Chelsea for VfL last summer and sympathises with Schurrle.

"I know it's hard for him. That was the same case with me," said De Bruyne.

"But I'm sure he'll get back to his best."
