Promising DC United winger Andy Najar is set to choose his country of birth as the national team he will represent.
The 18-year old Honduras-born Najar will end months of speculation regarding his international career by saying that the Honduran national team will secure his services according to the Washington Post.
Najar has lived in the USA for four years and there was some hope that he would choose the US team even though he was yet to obtain citizenship.
But it now seems likely that Honduras will be the nation he chooses ahead of the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup which kicks off in early June.
