DC United midfielder Fred is on the verge of signing with Australian club Melbourne Heart.
The 31-year old Brazilian looks set for his second stint in Australia and third in the A-League after spending a season with Melbourne Victory, winning the championship, and a short loan spell with New Zealand club Wellington Phoenix.
Reports in Australia suggest that the former Philadelphia Union man has already signed with the Heart and that an official announcement will be made soon.
