DC United striker Danny Allsopp is set to see some game time this weekend after impressing head coach Curt Onalfo in the past few weeks.
The former Melbourne Victory man netted a double for DCU's reserves against second division side Crystal Palace Baltimore and it looks like he is set to make his league debut in Saturday's trip to Philadelphia.
"He has been really sharp over the last two weeks [in training]. He is likely to see time this weekend," Onalfo said of Allsopp who was supposed to enter the game against New England Revolution on the weekend.
In other DCU news, former midfielder Fred's younger brother Junior Da Silva is also impressing, especially after a great goal in the same game, but Onalfo is remaining patient on his future, if any, with the club.
"He has got a lot of talent but a lot to learn," Onalfo said. "Does he make sense to be a guy that we put some time in to be a developmental player? It's too early to make an assessment."
