D.C. United announced today the club has re-signed midfielder Brandon Barklage.

The two-year MLS veteran returns for his third season with the Black-and-Red after suffering a knee injury on May 26, 2010 in an international friendly with AC Milan.

Additionally, defender Devon McTavish has been placed on the Disabled List following a concussion suffered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. during a pre-season friendly against Florida International University.

"We are pleased to have concluded a deal with Brandon," said General Manager Dave Kasper. "He's put in all of the work needed to fully recover from a second ACL injury and his return to our active roster is well-deserved."
