DC United are on a recruiting drive to try and strengthen their squad.
The club has already invited a European-based duo for trials and are also in the market for several other players including Racing Santander's Danny Szetela.
The 22-year old midfielder just returned to Spain from a loan deal with Italian club Brescia but is looking for a permanent contract and a return to the US seems a good option.
United coach Tom Soehn said that the club was determined to bring some quality in.
"We want to make sure we add depth in the spots we feel we need it, but also add the correct person that is a fit for the chemistry we have," he said.
"We have so many games coming up, we want to make sure we have cover in a lot of spots, guys who can play right away."
