DC United has added goalkeeper Chris Sharpe to the roster as a hardship replacement for Josh Wicks, who is sidelined four to six weeks with shoulder and knee injuries.
Sharpe is from the MLS player pool and, although his rights are held by the Colorado Rapids, he is available to any club in need.
He is one of five goalies in the player pool.
Sharpe is from Australia and played in the Danish league for a few seasons before moving to the States.
He will serve as Milos Kocic's backup in league play and be among three keepers - Bill Hamid is the other - for the Champions League finale at Toluca in three weeks.
