Comeback kid Charlie Davies was impressive in a trial match for DC United on Monday as he continues his return to the game.
The 24-year old USA international is making good progress as he recovers from horrific injuries sustained in a car accident in October 2009 and took a step closer to gaining a loan deal with the Washington club from French outfit Sochaux.
Davies is on a week-long trial with DC and put his name forward with a goal and an assist in the first half of a 5-1 win over the Canadian U20 national team in Fort Lauderdale.
He managed 74 minutes in the hitout and will undergo further evaluation before DC agree to take him on a season-long loan.
