Hull City central defender Curtis Davis believes that the Tigers are capable enough of beating the drop this year.
The Tigers beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on Saturday to move up to the 16th spot in the league but their extremely tough run-in towards the end of the season makes them favourite for relegation.
Hull still have to play Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Burnley and Manchester United in their last five league games, which makes life very difficult for the Humberside outfit, but captain Davies is confident.
Curtis told talkSPORT's Call Collymore: "A lot of our players have played in the Premier League but I'm not sure how many have actually had a relegation battle. Myself and Liam Rosenior have been through it with other teams but I'm not sure how many others have.
"It's good we have the experience but we're hoping the quality shows and we have enough to get over the line. We know it's not going to be easy but we believe we have enough to do it."
Ahead of the clash with the Reds on Tuesday, he added: "We're hoping Liverpool, who have had a little bit of a tough time and people are talking nonsense about them late, can come to the KC and we can get a win against them.
"If you're talking about the difference between a Burnley or one of the top four sides we have to play it's very difficult to compare because although Burnley, on paper, are a more attractive game where you think you can get the points."
