Davids urges Barnet players not to blow survival chance

Barnet player-boss Edgar Davids has urged his players not to blow their survival chance next week.

Davids has called on his players to deliver one final performance after Barnet marked their last game at Underhill with a 1-0 win over Wycombe to leave their Football League future in their own hands.

A late strike from Jake Hyde pulled the Bees out of the League Two relegation zone with one game left to play and a missed Wycombe penalty in the 92nd minute with Graham Stack pushing Joel Grant's spot-kick wide sparked unforgettable scenes as fans flooded onto the pitch.

"We still have to stay focused," said player-coach Davids. "We have one job in hand and that is getting the result at Northampton on Saturday.

"Northampton is not an easy task. People think we will go there and get a result but Northampton in the play-offs and that means they are a good side."
