Davids involved in Crystal Palace training ground row

Midfield veteran Edgar Davids has been involved in a training ground bust-up with teammate Julian Bennett, leaving his future at the club under a cloud.

The 37-year old former Holland international was blasted by Bennett, on loan from Nottingham Forest, for giving the ball away at training and responded by shouting, "I'm the boss around here," before squaring up to Bennett.

The incident occurred two weeks ago but has just come to light with a witness revealing the scene.

"Edgar hasn't had the best of times since joining us," the witness told SunSport.

"I think Bennett's comment was possibly a step too far and he just flipped.

"He went over to Bennett, grabbed him and started screaming 'I'm the boss around here'.

"Everybody was stunned and nobody quite knew how to react - before a few of the other lads then jumped in and pulled them apart.

"Players argue in training all the time but Edgar just flipped."
