David Silva has welcomed Manchester City's latest star signing Wilfried Bony.

Silva is rubbing his hands at the prospect of Sergio Aguero and Bony pairing up and shooting down the opposition in the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

The Spaniard said: "It's very important to have Sergio back. He's a key player for us isn't he? He brings us a lot of points. His goals get a lot of points for us and I think it's important he's back.

"Let's hope that he's playing against Arsenal and the fact that he's 100 per cent can only help us. Wilfried is similar to Kun. You know, lots of goals.

"He scored plenty of goals for Swansea. Let's hope we can get him on board as soon as possible and in the side.

"Could he be a decisive signing in the title race and make us favourites? Let's hope so. Let's hope that's the case and he can help us to go on and get the title."
