Jean-Claude Darcheville is determined to stay at Rangers despite falling down the pecking order following the signings of Kenny Miller, Andrius Velicka and Kyle Lafferty. The French striker was linked with a move to AEK Athens during the summer transfer window but does not want to leave Scotland without an SPL winner's medal.
The 34-year-old's agent, Karim Djaziri, said: "Jean-Claude has no intention of looking for a move in January. He's simply not interested in leaving Rangers.
"He still feels part of the squad, even as a substitute, and realises that in modern day football you have to fight with several quality strikers to win a place at a club like Rangers.
"Any interest from elsewhere does not matter to him. Maybe in the summer he m ay look at what he is going to do, but at least then he has the chance of leaving as a winner and an SPL champion."
