Dann eager to better Crystal Palace's 2013/14 points haul

Scott Dann is now gunning for Crystal Palace's Premier League points tally of last season after beating Manchester City on Monday night.

The Eagles got the better of the reigning champions 2-1 at Selhurst Park to move to 39 points with seven fixtures left.

In 2013/14, Palace finished with 45 points and defender Dann is now intent on reeling in that total by picking up at least six points in their remaining matches.

"We've got seven games left and we want to see how far we go in the league and try to beat the points total we got last season," he told Sky Sports.

"When you play against the top teams like that you need a bit of everything, we were oustanding today and deserved the three points."

Palace next meet 15th-placed Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, April 11.
