Barcelona fullback Daniel Alves insists he can handle the criticism coming his way.

Alves was booed by home fans during the Joan Gamper Trophy presentation earlier this week.

"Criticism motivates me, it makes me better.

"It's like an injection of adrenalin that makes you want to become a better player. Praise makes you complacent," said Alves.

"I'm just feeling positive. This year's challenge is wonderful."
