Daniel Alves has been informed he won't be handed a new deal by Barcelona.

Sport says the Brazilian has ended his second spell at with the club after the Catalan giants informed him on Wednesday morning that they will not present him with a new contract.

The player is on holiday after completing his international commitments, and now knows that he will have to find a team for next season.

The player wanted to return to Barcelona, firstly, to help the club at a difficult time and, secondly, to continue to get more playing time ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

Therefore, his wish would have been to continue, at least for a few months, at the Camp Nou.
