Daniel Alves has attempted to take the sting out of his blast for Barcelona fans this week. For the second time in a week, Alves attacked Barca fans over their 'no-show' for the Copa del Rey win over Real Sociedad.
"Those that haven't come aren't as Culé as they make out," the player said in reference to the poor turnout of just 38,505 spectators in the game against Real Sociedad.
Last night, the fullback took to social media to defend his comments.
"I know that a load of rubbish has been said about my comments, but I only want all the Culés to know that it's just you and us. If we're not together in this, we can't get back to enjoying our objectives.
"Let each person do what he feels he should, because I will always do what I feel is right. Whether it's seen as correct or not, that's the way I am."
