Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish says Manchester City's form slide has come from the instability around the club and squad.

Dalglish wrote in the Sunday Mirror: "What has happened at City, happens when you start getting a lot of speculation about people's futures.

"Since there has been a bit of uncertainty at City, they have gone backwards a bit.

"If you can keep your problems in-house there is always a better chance of you being successful.

"There is no need for everybody to be the best of pals on the pitch, either with your teammates or the manager.

"But I think they have got one or two issues that spring up from time to time.

"Whenever they don't win games there is speculation about the manager and that doesn't help anybody."
