Kenny Dalglish has enjoyed his first year back at Liverpool.
The Reds icon returned to the Academy last year in an ambassadorial role, but he is occasionally invited on to the grass by the coaches.
Dalglish told LFC TV: "I've really enjoyed the first year back.
"Being amongst the kids, watching them play and train is rewarding in itself. When they do something that they've worked on in training it's great. Frank McParland has done a fantastic job in the change over.
"I get a wee chance to join in a game of five-a-side. You're only a kid at heart.
"I know what I want to do but I can't always get there. The memory is there but the function is not too clever!"
