Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish says Sir Alex Ferguson's presence at Manchester United will be no hindrance for David Moyes.
Dalglish explained in the Mirror: "The right choice? The wrong choice? Well, only time will tell, but I think he has done brilliantly at Everton and Sir Alex Ferguson and the people at Old Trafford obviously think the same.
"Moyes also has one big advantage. He has still got Sir Alex there to turn to when he needs advice. And he will need advice.
"I don't go along with the idea that Sir Alex still having a role at the club will cause a problem.
"I know a lot of people still remember the agonies United went through over the succession to Sir Matt Busby.
"But I think Sir Alex will be a fantastic ally for Moyes. Don't forget, Moyes has done a fine job at Everton, but he has very little experience at Champions League level.
"Sir Alex won't interfere. He will stay quiet and he'll stay up the road unless Moyes seeks him out.
"They will have as many conversations as Moyes wants to have. I imagine they already have a good working understanding.
"It sounds obvious, but Sir Alex will be very keen that Moyes is a success. Moyes was his recommendation and Sir Alex does not like to get anything wrong."
