Sergio Canales will be staying with Real Madrid beyond the January market.
The Spain U21 midfielder has been linked with a loan move to England, where Bolton Wanderers and West Ham United are keen.
However, his father and agent revealed: "We decided earlier this month that Sergio would continue with Real Madrid and wait for his opportunity.
"He is happy at the club and with his life in Madrid.
"Of course he would like minutes, but it is up to him to fight and change things."
